## Analysis

The pilot was landing on a short gravel runway. He did not use the prelanding checklist and failed to extend the landing gear prior to landing. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage during the gear-up landing. No preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures were found that would have precluded normal operation.

## Factual narrative

The pilot was concentrating on landing on a short gravel runway, and did not consult the prelanding checklist or extend the retractable landing gear prior to landing. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage during the gear-up landing.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
