## Analysis

THE ACFT EXPERIENCED AN OILY WINDSHIELD WITH A SLIGHT DROP IN OIL PRESSURE. A FORCED LANDING WAS MADE ON AN UNIMPROVED AIRSTRIP AND THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH A BERM DUE TO THE RESTRICTED VISION FROM OIL ON THE WINDSHIELD. EXAMINATION OF THE ENGINE SHOWED THE ENGINE WAS COVERED WITH OIL. THE MOST LIKELY SOURCE WAS THE CRANKCASE VENT TUBE WHICH SHOWED THE MOST OIL SEEPAGE. A MECHANIC SAID THAT THE ACFT WAS EQUIPPED WITH LOW COMPRESSION PISTONS.

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19840607026339A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19840607026339A), Jun 7, 1984: Cessna 152, Alexander Creek, AK, Substantial damage. Oil covered windshield, landing made. Ran off side of runway, flipped over. Oil seeping from crankcase vent tube.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
