## Probable cause

THE PILOT'S FAILURE TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE AIRPLANE DURING THE LANDING ROLL.

## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- Loss of control - on ground/water, landing - roll
  - directional control - not maintained, pilot in command (cause)
- Nose over, landing - roll

## Analysis

AFTER TOUCHDOWN ON THE RUNWAY, THE PILOT NOTICED AN ASYMMETRICAL DRAG ORIGINATING FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THE PLANE. THE PILOT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL OF THE AIRPLANE AND THE AIRPLANE NOSED OVER ON ITS BACK.
