THERE WAS ANOTHER TAXIWAY AVAILABLE BUT THE PLT CONTINUED ON THE CONGESTED ONE WITH THE ACFT WING OVERLAPPING THE TRUCK BY ABOUT 7 FT. THE COLLISION OF THE WING AGAINST THE TRUCK TURNED THE ACFT INTO THE TRUCK AND THE PROP ALSO MADE CONTACT. A WITNESS STATED THAT THE PLT WAS NOT WEARING CORRECTIVE LENSES AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT. ## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19840808040409A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19840808040409A), Aug 8, 1984: Cessna 177RG, Shelbyville, TN, Substantial damage. Pilot taxied aircraft into truck which was parked along side of taxiway.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
