THE PILOT REPORTED TO AN FAA INSPECTOR THAT HE DID NOT SEE THE WIRES. THE AIRPLANE DID NOT HAVE A CURRENT ANNUAL INSPECTION AND THE PILOT DID NOT HAVE A CURRENT MEDICAL CERTIFICATE.

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19910728034449A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19910728034449A), Jul 28, 1991: Cessna 172M, Mcminnville, TN, Substantial damage. Struck electric wires on short final to airport. Fell to ground. Pilot not cooperative. Certificates unknown.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
