## Analysis

As the airplane accelerated through about 50 knots during the takeoff roll, the airplane's right wing began to lift. When the pilot attempted to lower the right wing, the airplane veered to the left and exited the left side of the runway. The airplane entered a ditch and came to rest upright and partially submerged in water. Postaccident examination of the airplane showed substantial damage to both wings. The pilot reported no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures that would have precluded normal operation.

## Factual narrative

During takeoff from runway 21 at an airspeed of 50 knots, the airplane's right wing began to lift. When the pilot attempted to lower the right wing, the airplane veered to the left. The airplane continued to the left and exited the left side of the runway. The airplane entered a ditch and came to rest upright partially submerged in water. Postaccident examination of the airplane showed substantial damage to both wings. The pilot reported no mechanical anomalies with the airplane prior to the accident.

## Docket (1 files)

The files NTSB released with the investigation on July 3, 2012, on NTSB's docket system: https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket?ProjectID=84019. 698 KB in all.

- Pilot/Operator Aircraft Accident Report, NTSB Form 6120.1 (item 1, .PDF, 698 KB): https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket/Document/docBLOB?ID=40371202&FileExtension=.PDF&FileName=Pilot%2FOperator%20Aircraft%20Accident%20Report,%20NTSB%20Form%206120.1-Redacted.PDF

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
