## Analysis

The pilot started the airplane without the hand-brake set, and the airplane began to move forward. The pilot stated that he pushed the throttle "in" and at the same time reached for the hand-brake in an attempt to stop the airplane. The throttle input increased engine power, and the airplane rolled forward until it collided with a hanger. The airplane’s wings were substantially damaged. A postaccident examination of the airplane found the throttle in the full forward (full power) position. No preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane were reported.

## Factual narrative

## Docket (1 files)

The files NTSB released with the investigation on May 8, 2013, on NTSB's docket system: https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket?ProjectID=86067. 633 KB in all.

- FAA record of conversation with the pilot (item 1, .PDF, 633 KB): https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket/Document/docBLOB?ID=40391765&FileExtension=.PDF&FileName=FAA%20record%20of%20conversation%20with%20the%20pilot-Master.PDF

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
