## Analysis

The pilot reported to a Federal Aviation Administration inspector that about 5 miles from the airport the airplane engine began to have trouble, so he turned on the electric fuel pump. He switched fuel tanks, but the engine still lost power. The pilot was unable to make it to the airport, so he conducted a forced landing to a marsh/swamp. Due to the accident location, an on-scene examination of the airplane was not conducted, and the airplane was not recovered. The pilot did not return a completed National Transportation Safety Board Pilot/Operator Aircraft Accident/Incident Report Form 6120.1 as requested.

## Docket (1 files)

The files NTSB released with the investigation on July 21, 2021, on NTSB's docket system: https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket?ProjectID=101926. 586 KB in all.

- FAA email (item 1, PDF, 1 page, 586 KB): https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket/Document/docBLOB?ID=11496047&FileExtension=pdf&FileName=Email%20(FAA)_Redacted-Rel.pdf

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
