## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- In flight collision with object, landing
  - aborted landing - performed, pilot in command (contributing factor)
  - go-around - initiated, pilot in command (contributing factor)

THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH A TREE DURING A GO-AROUND. THE PILOT ADDED FULL FLAPS AS THE RWY WAS APPROACHED. DURING THE FLARE THE ACFT BALLOONED AND BOUNCED. A GO-AROUND WAS STARTED BUT THE FLAPS WERE NOT RAISED. THE ACFT DID NOTACHIEVE ENOUGH CLIMB TO CLEAR THE TREE AT THE RWYS END.

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19830719038109A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19830719038109A), Jul 19, 1983: Cessna 150M, Wilmot, WI, Substantial damage. Tried to make a belated go around after a bad bounce. Failed to retract full flaps. Hit a tree on climbout.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
