THE PILOT'S FAILURE TO MAINTAIN AIRSPEED WHILE MANEUVERING IN HILLY TERRAIN. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS WERE THE PILOT'S FAILURE TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE ALTITUDE AND THE SURROUNDING STEEPLY RISING TERRAIN.

  - altitude - inadequate, pilot in command (contributing factor)
  - airspeed - not maintained, pilot in command (cause)
  - stall/spin - inadvertent, pilot in command
- In flight collision with terrain/water, maneuvering

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19900804030019A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19900804030019A), Aug 4, 1990: Cessna 150L, Donnybrook, ND, Destroyed, 2 fatal. Impacted side off a hill in wings level, nose up attitude. Was giving relatives rides. Seen in steep bank very low.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
