## Other investigations on N8814L (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI08CA199](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI08CA199), Jul 18, 2008: Eagle Eagle DW-1 (N8814L), Bryan, OH, substantial damage. Probable cause: The loss of engine power due to fuel exhaustion as a result of the pilot's improper fuel calculations. A contributing factor was the inaccurate fuel gauge.
