## Probable cause

A STALL ENCOUNTERED DURING THE SPRAY RUN REVERSAL TURN. FACTORS RELATED TO THE ACCIDENT ARE THE ATTEMPTED DOWNWIND TURN, AND INSUFFICIENT ALTITUDE FOR RECOVERY.

## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- Loss of control - in flight, maneuvering - aerial application
  - weather condition - unfavorable wind (contributing factor)
  - stall - encountered, pilot in command (cause)
  - altitude - inadequate (contributing factor)
- In flight collision with terrain/water, descent - uncontrolled
  - terrain condition - crop

## Analysis

THE AERIAL APPLICATOR HAD JUST COMPLETED A SPRAY RUN AND ATTEMPTED TO PULL UP AND MAKE THE REVERSAL TURN AT THE DOWNWIND END OF THE FIELD. THE AIRCRAFT STALLED IN THE TURN AND FELL OFF ON THE LEFT WING. THE LEFT WING HIT THE GROUND, AND THE AIRCRAFT CRASHED.

## Other investigations on N9935 (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
