## Probable cause

FAILURE TO MAINTAIN PROPER GLIDEPATH. A FACTOR RELATED TO THE ACCIDENT IS THE FAILURE TO PERFORM REMEDIAL ACTION, THE DARK NIGHT, AND THE SNOW SHOWER IN PROGRESS AT THE TIME.

## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- Undershoot, approach - vfr pattern - final approach
  - proper glidepath - not maintained, pilot in command (cause)
  - light condition - dark night (contributing factor)
  - remedial action - not performed, pilot in command (contributing factor)
  - weather condition - snow (contributing factor)
- In flight collision with terrain/water, landing - flare/touchdown
  - terrain condition - snowbank

## Analysis

PILOT WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND AT NIGHT IN A SNOW SHOWER. LEFT WINGTIP HIT SNOWBANK AT APPROACH END OF RUNWAY WHEN PILOT FLARED FOR LANDING.

## Other investigations on N201QB (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Probable cause: The pilot's failure to land with sufficient runway remaining to stop, which resulted in an unsuccessful aborted landing, inadvertent stall, and collision with terrain.
