## Analysis

THE PILOT HAD MADE THREE PREVIOUS APPROACHES AND LANDINGS ON THE SAME RUNWAY ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACCIDENT DURING THE MORNING. THE AIRPLANE COLLIDED WITH THE AIRPORT PARKING RAMP AND SLID ONTO THE GRASSY CLEARWAY ADJACENT TO THE RAMP.

- [Accident 19920521015579A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19920521015579A), May 21, 1992: Cessna 172RG, Dekalb, IL, Substantial damage. Too low on final, struck wires then collided with airport ramp, collapsed gear. 60 ft high wires 1300 ft from runway.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
