## Probable cause

THE PILOT IN COMMAND'S FAILURE TO ATTAIN A PROPER TOUCHDOWN POINT.

## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- Undershoot, landing - flare/touchdown
  - airspeed - inadequate, pilot in command (contributing factor)
  - stall/mush - inadvertent, pilot in command
  - proper touchdown point - not attained, pilot in command (cause)
- Nose over, landing - roll
  - terrain condition - high vegetation (contributing factor)

## Analysis

THE PILOT'S LANDING APPROACH WAS TOO SLOW, RESULTING IN A STALL. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED IN A SMALL GRAIN FIELD JUST SHORT OF THE RUNWAY BEFORE NOSING OVER.

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19930626020659A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930626020659A), Jun 26, 1993: Scwzer G164B, Northwood, ND, Substantial damage. Too slow for gusty surface winds. Stalled and impacted short of runway. Flight purpose water flush of spray system.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
