## Factual narrative

On November 3, 2009, a Xian Aircraft Industries MA-60, registration Z-WPJ, operated by Air Zimbabwe, struck wildlife on the runway during takeof at Harare, Zimbabwe. The aircraft exited the runway to the left side and was substantially damaged. There were no injuries. The CAA-Zimbabwe requested NTSB assistance with flight recorders.

## Aircraft

- Registration: Z-WPJ (not matched to a registry record)
- Damage: Substantial damage
- Flight: Non-U.S., commercial
- Operator: Air Zimbabwe
- Registered owner: Air Zimbabwe
- Departed: Harare
- Flight plan: Unknown

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
