## Factual narrative

The Russian Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK) has notified the NTSB of an accident involving an ATR-72 that occurred on April 2, 2012. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the MAK investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the avionics. All investigative information will be released by the MAK.

## Aircraft

- Registration: VP-BYZ (not matched to a registry record)
- Reported make and model: ATR ATR72 (202)
- Category: Airplane
- Serial number: 332
- Damage: Destroyed
- Flight: Non-U.S., commercial
- Airworthiness certificate: Standard, Normal; Standard, Transport

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
