## Factual narrative

The Civil Aviation Authority of Ecuador has notified the NTSB of an accident involving an Ecuadorian Air Force Hal Dhruv helicopter, which occurred on January 27, 2015. The NTSB has appointed a U.S Accredited Representative to assist. All investigative information will be released by the Government of Ecuador.

## Aircraft

- Registration: FAE-605 (not matched to a registry record)
- Reported make and model: HAL DHRUV
- Category: Helicopter
- Damage: Destroyed
- Fire: On-Ground
- Flight: Armed forces
- Registered owner: Ecuador Air Force
- Airworthiness certificate: Special, Restricted (Special)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
