## Factual narrative

The Air Accident Investigation Authority (AAIA) of Hong Kong has notified the NTSB of an accident involving a Boeing 777-300ER, which occurred on December 11, 2018. The NTSB has appointed a U.S Accredited Representative to assist under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the airplane. All investigative information will be released by the AAIA of Hong Kong.

## Aircraft

- Registration: C-FITW (not matched to a registry record)
- Reported make and model: BOEING 777 (300ER)
- Category: Airplane
- Serial number: 35298
- Damage: Substantial damage
- Flight: Part 129
- Airworthiness certificate: Standard, Transport

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
