A MECHANIC WHO EXAMINED THE ENGINE FOLLOWING THE ACCIDENT STATED THAT THE CARBURETOR WAS 'FULL OF WATER.' HE ALSO SAID THAT THE PILOT HAD FUELED THEAIRPLANE USING A GI-TYPE GASOLINE CAN.

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19840801036709A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19840801036709A), Aug 1, 1984: Univar 1081, Bountiful, UT, Substantial damage. Crash occurred during emergency landing after engine lost power shortly after takeoff. Auto fuel being used.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
