## Factual narrative

On October 09, 2012, at 9:40 am local time, a Beechcraft 1900, F-GOPE, operated by Hex'Air, experienced a elevator trim system failure after take-off at Lyon-Saint Exupery airport(LFLL), France. A post flight inspection revealed that the elevator trim forward cable had separated near the autopilot servo. The accident is being investigated by the French Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses pour la Sécurité de l’Aviation civile (BEA). As the state of design and manufacture of the airplane, the NTSB has designated a U.S. accredited representative to the BEA investigation. All inquiries should be directed to: Bureau d’Enquêtes et d’Analyses pour la Sécurité de l’Aviation civile Bâtiment 153 Aéroport du Bourget 93350 Le Bourget France www.bea-fr.org
