## Factual narrative

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has notified the NTSB of an accident involving an Aerospatiale AS355 F2 rotorcraft that occurred on June 19, 2019. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the TSB under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the engine. All investigative information will be released by the TSB.

## Sequence of events

The events NTSB coded, in order, by phase of flight. The defining event best describes what happened.

- [Enroute-cruise: Fire/smoke (non-impact)](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb-events/150) (defining event)

## Aircraft

- Registration: C-GCZS (not matched to a registry record)
- Reported make and model: AEROSPATIALE AS355 (F2)
- Category: Helicopter
- Damage: Destroyed
- Fire: In-Flight
- Registered owner: Zimmer Air Services Inc.
- Airworthiness certificate: Unknown
- Flight plan: Unknown

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
