## Factual narrative

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Board (AAIB) of Pakistan has notified the NTSB of an incident involving an Airbus A330-200 airplane which occurred on July 22, 2019. The NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIB investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of design and manufacture of the airplane engines. All investigative information will be released by the AAIB.

## Sequence of events

The events NTSB coded, in order, by phase of flight. The defining event best describes what happened.

- [Approach: Powerplant sys/comp malf/fail](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb-events/340) (defining event)

## Aircraft

- Registration: A7-ACG (not matched to a registry record)
- Reported make and model: AIRBUS A330 (202)
- Category: Airplane
- Serial number: 743
- Engines: General Electric CF6-80E turbo fan; General Electric CF6-80E turbo fan
- Damage: No damage
- Flight: Non-U.S., commercial

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
