## Sequence of events

The events NTSB coded, in order, by phase of flight. The defining event best describes what happened.

- [Landing-aborted after touchdown: Collision with terr/obj (non-CFIT) ](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb-events/470) (defining event); cases with it: [Maule M-5-180C, 5 cases](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb-events/470/sequence.md?model=5460204), [All aircraft, 10,189 cases](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb-events/470/sequence.md)

## Analysis

The pilot said that upon touchdown, the airplane bounced slightly and began to veer left. He added power to abort the landing, but the airplane continued left off the runway. The pilot then reduced power and the airplane struck two parked trailers, which resulted in substantial damage to both wings and the fuselage. The pilot reported there were no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures that would have precluded normal operation.
