HE MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN A PLOWED FIELD, BUT AFTER ROLLING ABOUT 40 TO 50 FT, THE PLANE NOSED OVER AND WAS DEMOLISHED. THE DENSITY ALTITUDE AT THE AIRPORT WAS ABOUT 3600 FT.

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19820425010989A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19820425010989A), Apr 25, 1982: Amtrrn KR1, Slaton, TX, Destroyed. Engine quit on first flight. Aircraft crashed during emergency landing. Volkswagon engine model unknown.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
