## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- Loss of control - in flight, takeoff - initial climb
  - weather condition - unfavorable wind (contributing factor)
  - wind information - misread, pilot in command (cause)
  - compensation for wind conditions - inadequate, pilot in command (cause)
  - stall - inadvertent, pilot in command (cause)
  - clearance - not attained, pilot in command (cause)
  - load jettison - not attained, pilot in command (contributing factor)
- In flight collision with object, takeoff - initial climb
  - object - tree(s) (contributing factor)
  - terrain condition - dirt bank/rising embankment (contributing factor)
- Nose over, takeoff - initial climb

## Analysis

THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH A TREE AND A LEVEE DURING TAKEOFF. THE PLT SAID THE WIND HAD SHIFTED BEFORE OR DURING TAKEOFF ANDTHE ACFT AT ROTATION FELT AS IF IT STALLED. THE ACFT FAILED TO CLEAR A SMALL TREE AND THEN WAS FORCED INTO A LEVEE. THE ACFT NOSED OVER DURING THE ACCIDENT, THE PLT SUGGESTED THAT HE COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER CHECK OF THE WIND FOR TAKEOFF.

## Other investigations on N6642K (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
