## Probable cause

THE PILOT'S IMPROPER AIRCRAFT HANDLING, WHICH RESULTED IN SETTLING WITH POWER.

## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- In flight collision with terrain/water, maneuvering - aerial application
  - aircraft handling - improper, pilot in command (cause)

## Analysis

AS THE PILOT FLARED AND ROLLED TO A LEVEL ATTITUDE OUT OF THE TURNAROUND MANEUVER, FOLLOWING THE FIRST SWATH RUN, THE PILOT EXPERIENCED SETTLING WITH POWER. HE THEN ATTEMPTED A RUN-ON LANDING TO A ROAD. THE HELICOPTER IMPACTED THE RICE FIELD AND CAME TO REST ON ITS LEFT SIDE.
