## Probable cause

THE PILOT'S FAILURE TO RECOVER FROM A BOUNCED LANDING. A FACTOR WAS THE GUSTING WINDS.

## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- Loss of control - on ground/water, landing - flare/touchdown
  - touchdown - improper, pilot in command
- Loss of control - on ground/water, landing - roll
  - weather condition - gusts (contributing factor)
  - recovery from bounced landing - not attained, pilot in command (cause)
  - ground loop/swerve - inadvertent, pilot in command

## Analysis

DURING A DAYLIGHT APPROACH TO A HARD-SURFACE RUNWAY, THE PILOT BOUNCED ON LANDING. AFTER BOUNCING, A WIND SHIFT OCCURRED CAUSING HIM TO LOSE CONTROL, AND THE AIRPLANE GROUND LOOPED, RESULTING IN COLLAPSE OF THE RIGHT MAIN LANDING GEAR.
