## Probable cause

THE PILOTS FAILURE TO MAINTAIN DIRECTIONAL CONTROL. A FACTOR WAS THE FENCE POST.

## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- Loss of control - on ground/water, landing - roll
  - directional control - not maintained, pilot in command (cause)
  - ground loop/swerve - inadvertent, pilot in command
- On ground/water collision with object, landing - roll
  - object - fence post (contributing factor)

## Analysis

DURING LANDING THE PILOT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND RAN OFF THE RUNWAY AND DOWN A SLOPED AREA. AFTER IT LEFT THE RUNWAY THE AIRPLANE STRUCK A FENCE POST.
