THE PLTDID NOT DECLARE AN EMERGENCY, BUT ADVISED TOWER THAT THE ACFT LOST THE FUEL PRESSURE. THE PLT WAS THEN CLEARED FOR A LANDING ON RWY 19R. AS HE WAS DESCENDING ON BASE LEG FOR 19R, THE PLT REALIZED HE COULD NOT LAND ON 19R & ELECTED TO LAND ON THE TAXIWAY PERPENDICULAR TO THE APCH ENDS OF RWYS 19L & 19R. THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH AN AIRPORT FREQUENCY SIGN, THEN VEERED AND COLLIDED WITH N2MU HOLDING FOR DEPARTURE ON 19R. THE FUEL PUMP CAVITY WAS FOUND CONTAMINATED WITH RUST & WATER. ## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19820716029601A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19820716029601A), Jul 16, 1982: Cessna 210L, Santa Ana, CA, Substantial damage. Engine lost power on descent due to fuel vapor lock. Unable to make runway collided with N2MU holding on a taxiway.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
