## Probable cause

The failure of the pilot to maintain directional control and his inadequate compensation for wind.

## Sequence of events

In NTSB's coding before 2008 (https://www.ntsb.gov/GILS/Documents/codman.pdf).

- Loss of control - on ground/water, landing - roll
  - directional control - not maintained, pilot in command (cause)
  - weather condition - crosswind
  - compensation for wind conditions - inadequate, pilot in command (cause)
- Nose over, landing - roll

## Analysis

The pilot stated he made a normal approach and landing to runway 9 right. During landing roll a gust of wind lifted the left wing. He did not respond quick enough and the right wing contacted the runway and the airplane nosed over.

## Factual narrative

Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time and no flight plan was filed. The commercial-rated pilot received minor injuries and the airplane received substantial damage.
