## Analysis

THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH THE GROUND DURING AN ATTEMPTED TAKEOFF. THE PILOT STATED HE HAD INSTALLED A NEW PROPELLER THAT WAS EXPECTED TO IMPROVE TAKEOFF AND CLIMB PERFORMANCE. HE SAID THE ACFT GOT AIRBORNE, BUT WOULD NOT CLIMB. BY THE TIME HE DECIDED THAT THE ACFT WOULD NOT CLIMB IT WAS TOO LATE TO ABORT. THE ACFT MUSHED BACK TO THE GROUND OFF THE OF THE RWY. AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT THE EFFECTIVE HEADWIND WAS LESS THAN 5 KTS AND THE DENSITY ALT WAS ABOUT 3000 FT.

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19830828050509A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19830828050509A), Aug 28, 1983: Amtrqk QUICKIE, Waldron, MO, Substantial damage. Unable to sustain flight after liftoff. Mushed into ground off end of runway. Newly installed propeller wrong pitch

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
