## Analysis

SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF THE ACFT COLLIDED WITH WIRES AND CRASHED. THE PLT HAD TRIED TO FLY UNDER THE WIRES BECAUSE THE ACFT WOULD NOT CLIMB OVER THEM. INVESTIGATION REVEALED THAT THE ACFT WAS OVERLOADED AND OUT OF BALANCE BY HAVING 2 MINORPASSENGERS IN THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHICH HAD NO SEAT(S) OR SAFETY BELTS.

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19840721036719A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19840721036719A), Jul 21, 1984: Cessna 150G, Troy, KS, Substantial damage. Pilot attempted takeoff with aircraft overweight and out of CG. Aircraft hit wires when unable to climb over.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
