- [Accident 19820628025449A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19820628025449A), Jun 28, 1982: Piper PA31, Bennington, VT, Substantial damage. In flight fire in left engine nacelle. Exhaust coupling, P/N556-962 was broken.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
