- Loss of control - on ground/water, takeoff - roll/run
  - light condition - sunglare (contributing factor)
  - weather condition - crosswind (contributing factor)
  - directional control - not maintained, pilot in command (cause)
  - ground loop/swerve - inadvertent, pilot in command
- Nose over, takeoff - roll/run

## Analysis

THE PILOT REPORTED THAT THERE WAS A CROSSWIND FROM THE RIGHT AND THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED LEFT UNTIL THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL DEPARTED THE RUNWAY, THE PROP CAUGHT A SHEET OF PLASTIC, AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER. HE ALSO SAID THE SUN WAS DIRECTLY IN HIS EYES.

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19890902065999A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19890902065999A), Sep 2, 1989: Cessna 150M, Colts Neck, NJ, Substantial damage. Landed to pratice rough field operations. Used side of runway to avoid holes. Sun in eyes ran off and nosed over.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
