## Probable cause

THE PILOT'S INADVERTENT LIFT OFF AND FAILURE TO MAINTAIN AIRCRAFT CONTROL WHICH RESULTED IN AN INADVERTENT STALL. THE PILOT'S LACK OF RECENT EXPERIENCE AND LACK OF EXPERIENCE IN TYPE OF AIRPLANE WERE FACTORS IN THE ACCIDENT.

- Loss of control - in flight, takeoff - initial climb
  - lack of total experience in type of aircraft, pilot in command (contributing factor)
  - lack of recent experience, pilot in command (contributing factor)
  - lift-off - inadvertent, pilot in command (cause)
  - stall - inadvertent, pilot in command (cause)
- In flight collision with terrain/water, descent - uncontrolled

## FAA reports on this event (1)

The FAA's own accident and incident reports, matched to the aircraft by N-number and date (OpenAirDocs).

- [Accident 19910525017109A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19910525017109A), May 25, 1991: Amtrsn SKYBOLT, Pennington, NJ, Destroyed, 1 fatal. During high speed taxi became airborne unintentionally nosed up, stalled and crashed. No time in type. Trim full up.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
