DURING DESCENT FROM CRUISE FOR LANDING THE ENGINE MOMENTARILY RAN ROUGH AND THEN QUIT. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO LAND ONTO A ROAD BUT STRUCK A TELEPHONE POLE IN FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT THEN DESCENDED ONTO THE GROUND NOSE FIRST. NO REASON FOR THE ENGINE FAILURE COULD BE DETERMINED BY AN A & P MECHANIC.

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
