## Analysis

The solo student pilot reported that as he crossed the runway threshold, the airplane floated, touched down, and bounced a couple of times. The airplane subsequently departed the left side of the runway, impacted a small ditch and came to rest inverted. The airplane's vertical stabilizer and right wing were substantially damaged. The pilot reported no preimpact mechanical malfunctions or failures with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.

## Docket (1 files)

The files NTSB released with the investigation on November 25, 2013, on NTSB's docket system: https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket?ProjectID=88268. 104 KB in all.

- Pilot Statement, e-mail to FAA (item 1, .PDF, 104 KB): https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket/Document/docBLOB?ID=40403973&FileExtension=.PDF&FileName=Pilot%20Statement,%20e-mail%20to%20FAA-Master.PDF

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
