## Factual narrative

On June 14, 2017, about 1600 universal coordinated time (UTC), a Turbo Thrush AG S2R, 4X-AQS made an off-airport landing following an engine shutdown during flight at Megiddo Airport, Megiddo, Israel. The pilot was operating the airplane under the provisions of the Israel Civil Aviation Regulations as a local agricultural aerial application flight. The pilot was not injured; the airplane was not damaged.Preliminary information received from the government of Israel indicated that the pilot detected an issue with the engine, shut if off during flight, and landed in a field. Examination of the engine revealed metal chips in the oil filter and chip detector of the PT6-34AG engine. The engine had 205 hours since overhaul. The accident is under the jurisdiction of, and is being investigated, by the State of Israel Ministry of Transport Aviation Incidents and Accidents Investigation (AIAI). Additional information can be obtained from the AIAI at: PO Box 120 Ben Gurion International Airport Israel, 70100 Telephone: 972- 3-975-1380
