## Summary

This document proposes the adoption of a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to certain Saab Model SAAB 2000 series airplanes. This proposal would require various repetitive inspections for cracking of the drag and shear angles that attach the nacelle to the front spar of the wing, and related corrective action. The proposal also would require eventual modification of the drag and shear angles, which would end the repetitive inspections. This action is necessary to prevent fatigue cracking of the drag and shear angles, which could result in reduced structural integrity of the nacelle and wing. This action is intended to address the identified unsafe condition.
