## Summary

This document proposes the adoption of a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to certain Boeing Model 727-200 series airplanes. This proposal would require installation of four lanyards on the forward access panel/door. This action is necessary to prevent the forward ceiling access panel/door from falling down and blocking the aisle, which would impede evacuation in an emergency. This action is intended to address the identified unsafe condition.
