## Summary

This document proposes the adoption of a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to certain British Aerospace Model BAe 146-100A and -200A airplanes. This proposal would require modification of the glareshield and certain electrical equipment of the airplane. This proposal is prompted by a report indicating that, if the lift spoilers fail to deploy on landing, the flight crew may not receive any indication that this situation exists. The actions specified by the proposed AD are intended to ensure that the flight crew is advised when the lift spoilers fail to deploy on landing; such failure could result in the airplane overrunning the end of the runway during landing.
