## Summary

This action withdraws a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that proposed a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to all McDonnell Douglas Model DC-10 series airplanes and Model KC-10A (military) airplanes. That action would have required modification of the fuel crossfeed dump shutoff system. Since the issuance of the NPRM, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has determined that other means are in place that adequately address the unsafe condition. Accordingly, the proposed rule is withdrawn.
