## Summary

This document proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) that would apply to the Burkhart Grob, Luft-und Raumfahrt, GmbH. (Grob) Model G102 Astir CS sailplanes. The proposed action would require replacing the elevator control lever. This proposed action is prompted by the discovery of cracks in the elevator control lever during a routine inspection of a Grob Model G102 Astir CS sailplane. The action specified by the proposed AD is intended to prevent failure of the elevator control lever, which could result in loss of control of the sailplane.
