## Summary

This document proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) that would apply to certain Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH (Dornier) Models 228-100, 228-101, 228-200, 228-201, 228-202, and 228-212 airplanes. The proposed AD would require modifying the logic in the failure detection circuits of the landing gear uplock switches. The proposed AD is the result of mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for Germany. The actions specified by the proposed AD are intended to prevent a false warning indication of landing gear failure because of the design of the landing gear warning system, which could result in incorrect actions from the pilot based on the warning indications.
