## Summary

This document proposes the adoption of a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to all Dornier Model 328 series airplanes. This proposal would require a one-time inspection of the date stamp affixed to the wing deicing boots to determine the cure date, and replacement of the deicing boot with a new boot, if necessary. This proposal is prompted by issuance of mandatory continuing airworthiness information by a foreign civil airworthiness authority. The actions specified by the proposed AD are intended to prevent delamination of the wing deicing boots, and resultant inflation of the deicing boots to a distorted aerodynamic shape during flight, which could result in reduced controllability of the airplane.
