## Summary

We propose to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This proposed AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) originated by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as:

It has been found the occurrence of failed bearings of the RAT [ram air turbine] generator, which may lead to a RAT generator failure. The RAT generator was designed to provide emergency electrical power to essential systems in case of loss of all other sources of aircraft AC electrical power. * * * * * Loss of emergency electrical power could result in reduced controllability of the airplane during in-flight emergencies. The proposed AD would require actions that are intended to address the unsafe condition described in the MCAI.
