## Summary

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A318 series airplanes; Model A319 series airplanes; Model A320 series airplanes; and Model A321 series airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of door evacuation slide systems failing to inflate during emergency evacuations, due to the fracture and separation of the connector on the inflation hose assembly. This proposed AD would require the replacement of each affected slide with a serviceable slide. This proposed AD would also prohibit the installation of affected parts. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
