GEAR DISAGREE INDICATION ON APPROACH.  CREW EXECUTED GO-AROUND AND ASKED ATC FOR DELAYING VECTORS WHILE RUNNING QRH.  MX FOUND HYD PUMP NR 3A INOP.  REMOVED AND REPLACED PUMP.
