WHILE CHANGING DEFECTIVE FUEL TANK SELECTOR VALVE (LEFT), FOUND MAIN FUEL LINE TO BOOST PUMP HAD A CRACKED COLLET.  NEW LINE INSTALLED.  SUBMITTER STATED LEAK OR FAILURE OF THIS LINE COULD CAUSE ENGINE FAILURE AND/OR FIRE.  CAUSE OF FAILURE UNKNOWN.  (X)
